Welcome!

Welcome to the Beatrix Potter by Needleprint SAL. This SAL will officially start on January 1st 2009. Everyone is welcome to join this group if you are intending or have already started the Beatrix Potter chart. If you know anyone who you think may want to join then let them know to email me and I can invite them to the blog. I have only just set this up so the blog is in its initial stage. If you have any ideas or links that you would like to see posted up then feel free to let me know. In the meantime, post a little about yourself and your stitching habits so we can all get to know each other a bit better. Also, pictures of fabric and threads that you are perhaps intending to use would be lovely to see as well. It's a big project and I am looking forward to us all encouraging one another to completion.

Hugs and happy stitching,

Hazelxx

Hello, Hazel. I'm not sure if I ask permission first or if I just jump in there with an introduction. So I'll do it the old fashioned way.

I'd love to join the group. I love quakers and have finished several projects. I bought the BP chart when it first came out. Now it's time to get serious.

Thanks, Marian

Hi Hazel,

I'd also love to join the SAL (got my chart today) if there's still space!

This is my first Quaker sampler, but I fell in love with it the moment I saw it.

Thanks,
Allie

Hello Hazel:

I too am new to blogging and have no idea how to ask to be included in the project. I already contacted Jacqueline and got the .pdf chart so please tell me where I go from here. I don't have a blog of my own and not even sure if I'm posting comments correctly. Help.

Hi Hazel, I was so thrilled to find this SAL because I have wanted this chart for a while now. It felt like Christmas today when I received the file from Jacqueline.
I would really like to be part of your SAL, I usually need to be motivated to keep going because it is always fun to start something new.
I live in Alberta, Canada and have been stitching for about 25 years. Thanks again, Brenda

Hi Hazel, I would love to join this group. I purchased the chart a couple of years ago and have it ready to go. I was so excited when I visited England last month and had the chance to see this wonderful sampler in real life when I visited Beatrix Potter's home. I was amazed at the fine linen it was worked on.
Happy stitching Margie May - Melbourne Australia

Hello,
I'd like to join the SAL but can't see where or how to do it?
My Beatrix Potter is already started but has turned into a UFO.
I'd like to kick start it again and hopefully finish this lovely sampler.
Thank you,
Margaret

I'm Di from Alberta, Canada. I'm still deciding on the fabric and thread for this - I do have a piece of 32-ct Antique Ivory Belfast and like the suggested colour, but I'm also looking at some old slightly uneven count Irish linen that I've had for decades (it's about a 40/42 count, I think), and wondering about using that with AVAS or with one of Amy Mitten's silks - I'm going to stitch up a small motif in each of the fabrics and see which one I prefer. And hopefully I'll have a decision made by the time we're ready to start :)

I pulle my chart out this morning. I am going to use 32 Ct Antique ivory the pattern called for but yet to decide on the choice of color. i am thinking of the DMC they call for but will checkon the silks too :)

Hi everyone - I have had the BP sampler chart since it was first offered by Needleprints - several memebers of my sampler guild group have stitched it and it is truly gorgeous. I have all the Needleprint quaker charts in my stash but for some reason I just got anxious again about wanting to stitch Beatrix. I did not know about this SAL so I started it Thanksgiving weekend and have about 3 motifs done. I would appreciate being considered for the SAL. Thanks Melody in sunny Florida.
