Allie's January Progress

I chose a 36ct Creme Brulee linen from R&R with WDW Lancaster Red and GAST "Nutmeg" for the accent. I started with 2 threads over 2, but it was too chunky looking, so I frogged it & went with 1 thread over 2.

I'd love to know whether others are keeping the initials throughout the chart "as is" or if you plan to modify them to fit your own? Any thoughts? I've left them off for now, since I was torn on what to do with them.

I'm so glad you asked about the initials. I was wondering the same thing. I will probably use the charted ones because I don't want to have to decide which family member's initials to use.

Lovely choice of colours and I think I will be using my family initials. I thought my daughter and or grand daughter as this is going to be a family heirloom..... erum!!

You've made a lovely start! I will be using the charted initials, I think, rather than personalising it.

Great start, I was going to decide when I am nearly done I think as I am still not sure about the initials.

Allie, I just love your colour choice! It looks perfect on that fabric.
As for the initials, I will keep them as charted and sneak my own and my son's initials in somewhere.

Lovely work! Your colors are perfect! I am using the charted initials since I am stitching it as a reproduction of the original. If I were "interpreting" the piece (for instance, stitching it in blue or other colors like some here are doing), I would change the initials to my own and my family's.

I am changing the initials to my families also. Love the color you are using.

I was wondering the same thing. I am leaning toward personalizing mine with my family's initials. I'm going to have to sneak my future daughter-in-law's initials in there somewhere!

I haven't decided yet--I think I'll have to make that decision after I finish all the other stitching.

But I'm leaning toward stitching it as is, right now.
