Maxine Finished

I kept on stitching for another few days after my update last week and I have now finished :) I enjoyed stitching this sampler and have many more quaker samplers still to do. The stats again...stitched on 36ct linen with 1 strand of DMC in the same colour as the original sampler.

Maxine August Update

I got quite a lot done last month and will (almost fingers crossed) definitely get it finished this month :)

The lowest moitf on the left hand side with the bird in it caused me a few problems I didn't realise it wasn't symmetrical until I had stitched the outline and started filling it in! Everyone else's progress is great and some lovely finishes.

Maxine's July Progress

Well I didn't have too bad a month, the darned frogs won't leave though.... I think every time I bring this one out to stitch on they decide to hold a party and even more turn up lol! I did some work down the left hand side last month so nearly at the bottom on both sides :)

Maxine's June Progress

I got BP out early this month to make sure I got plenty of progress...the top pic is June's progress sorry about the creases it's been on Q-Snaps. The bottom is May's (blogger won't let me drag the pics down I don't know how to move the pic's about now can anyone help please ???)

Maxine's May Progress

I made an effort this month to not leave this till last minute and only get a little progress done. I got this out last Friday and stitched all the weekend and Monday and am pleased to report a lot of progress

It was surprising just how much time it took to do the motif with the passionflower in it and I still haven't decided what to do about the initials hence the unfilled motif still!! We're all making great progress, keep up the great work ladies :)

I have been busy working on different wip's so there isn't an awful lot of progress for this month...

I love looking at all the different colours that everyone is choosing to stitch their samplers in ........ they all look amazing :)

Hello Everyone

I finally made it here.....we have all been ill over Christmas with the flu like a lot of people so I am only just catching up with all my blogs. Anyway for those that don't know me i am Maxine and I have been stitching for the last nine years. It's only in the last year or so that I have got hooked on samplers and I was very lucky to buy the BP sampler from someone who had finished with their copy. I have chosen to stitch mine on Silkweavers 36ct linen in 'Porcelain' with DMC 356 1 strand over two. Here's my starting pic....
