Shari's May Progress

Hi all,
well, I was only able to do one motif this month. I had a busy month in lots of ways. I am working hard on a lot of little things for my soon to be born triplet grandsons. I also spent a lot of time in my husband's workshop, helping with a new storage unit for my craft room.
Anyway, Here is my progress for May!!
Thanks for looking!

Jacqueline K B's May Progress...
Above is my MAY progress, while below is from last April...
My progress was slowed down by surgery I had May 12...lol, here I thought I'd have plenty of stitch time!! Well, I was lucky if I had the energy to watch television! In any event, I'm doing much better now and did a little catching up over the weekend...next month I hope to get more done!! I'm still loving this stitch so much and so enjoy seeing what everyone else is doing!!!

Maxine's May Progress
I made an effort this month to not leave this till last minute and only get a little progress done. I got this out last Friday and stitched all the weekend and Monday and am pleased to report a lot of progress
April's Progress...
May's Progress....
It was surprising just how much time it took to do the motif with the passionflower in it and I still haven't decided what to do about the initials hence the unfilled motif still!! We're all making great progress, keep up the great work ladies :)

Sally W's May Progress.
Not too much progress this month. I'm not finding it easy to keep up the enthusiasm on this but I will not be beaten! LOL! Even if it takes me well over a year I will finish it!

Brenda's May Progress
The bottom picture shows my progress for May.
I got two large motifs done and three small ones. This may be my best month yet.
If you look closely you will see that I changed the small motif on the far left. On the original it is done as a half motif and I thought I would try it as a full motif, and I think I like it.
I am trying to decide what my second color of thread should be (for the flowers) any suggestions, white maybe or cream? Maybe I should try both and see what they look like.I still love to see everyone's progress, let's all keep on stitching!!

Julie's May progress
APRIL pictureI'm really pleased with the progress made this month, 5 motifs stitched in all, 3 larger and 2 small ones. I love the way the bordeaux thread brings the blue to life and am so pleased i didn't go with the white that i originally was going to use in the flowers.
I hope you are all pleased with your progress this month too.

Lack of progress - Di
Progress isn't even the right word - stalled in the starting gate LOL To update - Early in the year I decided, after looking at the sample motif that I'd done, that the linen just wasn't "right" - and couldn't decide what to do, whether to change either the linen, the thread, or both. I finally decided to stay with the original thread, and to substitute a cream linen for the original antique white. My thread, a silk from Amy Mitten, should be arriving on Monday, and I have the linen already. So hopefully by this time next week, I may have the first motif done - or at least started LOL It's been good to see the progress that people have made so far - very inspiring and motivating! ~Di

Cristina's April very small progress

These last two months have been completely upside down with health problems (I am now in my third flu and not looking good) and workwise, nevertheless I wanted to send something. I know it is only a very small bit of progress, but I hope that I will be able to show some more by the end of May.
I congratulate everyone, as your pieces look all awsome.

I count...
....34 of us who made some progress in April. Please check if I have made any mistakes! So numbers seeem to be dropping from the 100 that started at the beginning. Sorry to say goodbye for a time to Ladydoc who has temporarily (I hope) withdrawn from the group. Hope that things go better for you soon and for your family. And also want to wish Bonnie all the best for her upcoming surgery on her eyes. Hope you will recover quickly and your eyesight will be much better for you.
This sampler is not for the faint hearted!! It is a whopper of a sampler and sometimes we just have to grit our teeth and get through the boring times. Remember there is no pressure to finish this sampler in a year - just to work on it once a month and show our progress. I love, I really love, all the progress pics and think that each and every one of the samplers is so beautiful and such an inspiration. I wonder what dear old Bea P would say if she were alive today to see them all in their glories. So come on ladies, lets get our mojos working ( a favourite phrase of my dh) and let those needles smoke!

Margie K's April Progress
I managed to get a few motifs done this month. But not enough to make me really happy. I'm stitching mine on 35 count Mushroom linen from Vikki Clayton using Winterberried regular silk floss, one over two.

Petite April Progress for Sharon in St.Louis
Hi -- Not much April progress for me, as we were traveling during the beginning of the month, and then when we got home, I got seriously involved in the Blackbird Design French sampler contest. It was a fun stitch, and very satisfying to actually finish something. But now I am feeling badly about neglecting poor Miss B. I do hope to do better next month.
It is very inspiring to see all the projects and color choices.
The photo above, at left with no floss under magnet, is where I am ending April.
The second photo shows where I began the month of April -- I know, not much progress. I finished up the leaves on the smaller floral motif and started a large motif at the top.
Happy May stitching to everyone.

DonnaTN's April Progress
Here is where I was at the end of March.
Here is where I am at the end of April. There would have been more motifs done, but I had a terrible run in with the frogs while filling in the light green on the motif with the variegated thread, It took 3 tries and close to 7 hours of stitching and ripping to get it right. Apparently I was suffering from poor math skills as well as a lack of attention. I am really enjoying working on this project despite the problems. Plus I am so excited that I found a way to use my variegated thread! Yeah!

Lynda's progress for April
Well, my sampler has been sorely neglected this month. I don't even know where the month went! Anyway, I did manage to get one more motif added. This is my piece at the end of March.
Here is my piece as of today...just the one motif added to the top right. I am looking forward to making lots more progress in May.
Everyone's pieces are really looking good...thanks so much to all of you for sharing your progress!

LadyDoc update- withdrawal
I really, REALLY hate to do this but I am going to have to withdraw from this SAL. It seems everytime I start to make even a little progress something happens. My mother- who had surgery in late January and needed a LOT of time- ended up back in the hospital last week so I am now even further behind. I just cannot seem to find any time to work on this.
I know I will have time this summer and intend to pick this up again then, but for now I really need to put it aside. I am very disappointed about this and hope you all will forgive me for taking a spot and not sticking with it.
