It's finished!! The last stitch went in at 9:15 last night. I've put my initials in it but decided to leave others out. In January and February I managed one whole motif as well as finishing another and starting two more. I have now done all around the outside and need to move into the middle. Actually I just need to stitch a bit more on Beatrix than I did these past two months. In my defence I have been busy with pre-stitching for two classes that I have now taken, so hopefully, more time for the sampler.

I wanted to let everyone know what I picked out with my gift certificate from Anita's. When I saw Little House Needleworks new design "Hillside Travelers", I knew I had to have it. First of all, congratulations to all of you who have finished! It's amazing how different one design can look on various fabrics and colourways. I've finally finished the border and have now introduced some more shades of blue, though I'm not too sure of the brighter one I've used for that larger motif - ah, well, I'm not going to frog it and may just limit its use to one or two more motifs :-)

Tish has finished Beatrix! She started her back in early 2009 and finished her in September 2010. She sent me this photo before she took her to the framer's. I am beginning to feel like a broken record. Each month, I do some on Miss B, then put her away, to try to finish other things. Here is my progress as of the end of January.Here is the pitiful progress that I made in February. Unlike so many others, I found that I cannot stitch and watch the Olympics at the same time. Every time I looked down at my chart or stitching either the crowd or an announcer would gasp, groan, or cheer and I missed it so I gave up trying to do both. I actually started on 28ct Jobelan doing 1 over 1 but my eyes couldn't cope so decided to start again and stick to 2 over 2. I seem to have the same excuse every month. I think I am going to get a bunch of time on my B. Potter at the end of the month & something comes up! This time, it was the triplets again!!!! Daddy deployed this past week. Mommy called on Wed. & asked if we could watch the boys for an extended weekend. Of course grandma said yes! but.....grandma was going to work on BP the last 5 days of the month!
